The Taynuilt Guest House sits at the heart of the picturesque village of Taynuilt in Argyll, Scotland not far from Oban.
The Taynuilt Guest house is a historic 16th century roadside coaching inn, at the heart of the picturesque village of Taynuilt in Argyll. We offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation, with 10 rooms in total, each named after a different Scottish loch such as Loch Etive, Loch Awe and Loch Creran. We have single, twin, double and superior double rooms available, each with their own individual character.
The village of Taynuilt even takes its name from the guest house, as Taynuilt in Gaelic means ‘house by the burn’. Nestling at the foot of Ben Cruachan, between Loch Etive & Loch Awe, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and steeped in history, Taynuilt offers the inspired choice location for discovering the West Coast of Scotland.
Ideally situated on the ancient “road to the isles,” Taynuilt is only a 20 minute drive to Oban and the ferries, perfect for visits to the Inner Hebrides and beyond. The guesthouse provides an excellent base to visit the surrounding area and take part in the many local activities such as fishing, hill walking, golf, wildlife tours and much more.
The guest house offers modern en-suite rooms and has free parking on site. The rooms feature a flat screen TV, comfortable beds and tea/coffee making facilities along with a nice added extra of free luxury toiletries for each guest.
The Taynuilt Guest house, with its modern facilities and fine hospitality, is the perfect choice for visiting Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland.
