A well-presented and comfortably furnished, attached property set in an elevated position, The Granary adjoins the original farmhouse and cottage on what was once a working farm. It is now purely residential, with stables for the owner’s horses. On the outskirts of the delightful Eden Valley village of Kings Meaburn, the location is ideal for enjoying the small villages dotted around this delightful area. Picturesque and traditional in essence, many villages sit prettily around a village green with a traditional pub offering local fare and a glass of something refreshing! Both walkers and cyclists will enjoy the easy access to routes for all abilities.
Just a short journey from the historic market town of Appleby, with its eclectic mix of independent shops, cafés and restaurant. The town sits on the River Eden, and its rich history is evident in the charm and character of the buildings throughout the town. Penrith and Keswick are an easy drive away and again are popular Cumbrian market towns. Picturesque Ullswater, with its lakeside villages, Lowther with its stunning castle and visitor attractions and Alston on the Pennine Way, can all be visited within a short drive, making The Granary an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. The cottage is a well-designed conversion offering couples and families a delightful home from home. Both bedrooms are light and airy and benefit from private shower room facilities. The comfortable living room opens out onto an outdoor seating area where the countryside setting offers a fabulous environment for relaxing.
