Rydal Lodge is operated under the personal direction of Helena and Mark Tendall.
This is a new venture for us and we are very excited to welcome our guests to Rydal Lodge – a building with a wealth of history in a stunning part of the country. We have travelled around this area extensively so please feel free to ask us any questions you have – talking about the Lake District is our favourite thing!
Before taking over Rydal Lodge in partnership with her husband Helena ran a Murder Mystery Events business. She doesn’t want to give this up completely so do ask about Murder Mystery Themed Weekends at Rydal Lodge – these all inclusive weekends include a Countryside Clue Hunt taking in the wonderful Coffin Trail with fabulous views of Rydal Water – it’s a great idea for a reunion of family and friends with exclusive use of Rydal Lodge.
The house boasts a range of comfortable rooms from standard rooms with dedicated bathroom through en-suite rooms to luxury suites. Many rooms enjoy delightful views over the gardens and river as well as the beautiful surrounding fells. We have one dog friendly room - The Loughrigg Suite.
The house is a place of peace and tranquillity in which to relax. There is a licensed bar and snug lounge with a wood burning stove. In the summer months our garden seating provides a relaxing setting to enjoy the idyllic location.
During the summer months The Garden Coffee Bar provides snacks, pastries and gateaux to enjoy with your favourite espresso coffee.
