Situated in a quiet residential area close to Baddeley Clock Tower, the midway point between Windermere and Bowness, Montfort Cottage is just a 10 minute walk from either village and their abundance of shops, restaurants and traditional pubs, and a short distance from Lake Windermere itself.
A late 19th century Lakeland stone terrace cottage, it has been sympathetically converted to provide Visit England 4 star accredited accommodation offering comfortable and well-appointed rooms and free Wi-Fi. It is ideal as a romantic getaway for couples looking for a comfortable and peaceful bed & breakfast accommodation in Windermere, in the heart of the English Lake District.
All rooms feature Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, a hospitality tray with hot drinks and biscuits, a 22-inch LCD flat-screen TV with DVD player, an iPod docking station, wine glasses and a corkscrew.
Breakfast at Montfort Cottage is a leisurely affair, served every morning between 8.30am and 9.30am in the Breakfast Room, and is something to really look forward to during your stay. Breakfasts are individually made to your requirements using only the best locally sourced quality ingredients and branded products wherever possible.
Vegetarians, Gluten-free and dairy-free guests can be catered for if prior notification is given. Also please advise us of any food related allergens you may have.
The guest house is personally run by its owners, Sue & Paul Blackburn, and is the perfect accommodation base from which to explore the stunning scenery and natural beauty of the Lake District.
Free public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not needed).
