Merman Barn Bed and Breakfast Tideswell is a converted limestone barn where Linda and Andrew offer a warm welcome, good food, 3 en suite comfortable rooms and a guest lounge. Only a short walk from the village centre, there is private parking for up to 6 cars at the rear of the property and a walled garden in which guests can relax. Wireless Internet access is available in all rooms.
All the rooms are tastefully furnished with comfort and cleanliness being the priority.
Each bedroom has a comfortable bed with a good quality mattress, a colour flat screen TV, a clock radio, a mini fridge for your fresh milk, wine etc., hot drink-making facilities, biscuits, chocolates and fresh flowers.
The en suite shower rooms have good quality towels including extra large bath sheets and complimentary toiletries.
The central heating radiators can be adjusted for your comfort in the bedrooms and the shower rooms.
The Guest lounge is a comfortable area, centrally heated with a log fire. There are novels, board games, DVDs, and a good selection of details of visitor attractions and local walks.
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room between 08.00 and 08.45.
Tideswell, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ is an ideal base from which to explore the Derbyshire Peak District, whether it is by car, bike or on foot. Tideswell is particularly popular for its many walks including the Monsal Trail.
There are three pubs and two fish and chip shops within walking distance for your evening meal, and excellent places to eat just a short drive away. Castleton, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Spa Town, the old Market Town of Bakewell and many other places to visit are all near by.
