Harbour House, formerly known as Harbour Lights Hotel, is a family-run bed and breakfast. We are situated on the shores of Loch Broom, with stunning views of the Loch and rugged mountains - just a short stroll from the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool, where you will find modern convenience steeped in history.

Whether you choose to stay in a lochside room or a hillside room, we know you won’t be disappointed. Our bedrooms are located on the ground and first floors so please let us know at time of booking if you have a preference.

All bedrooms are en-suite and have either a bath with a shower over or a stand-alone shower. They are quite small (approx 10 m2) but have every modern convenience you would expect and more.

Sit beside the open fire in our spacious lounge, reading one of a selection of daily newspapers whilst enjoying panoramic views over the salty waters of Loch Broom to Ullapool Harbour or, as our bed and breakfast is not licensed, bring your own drinks and watch the sun set beyond the hills. We’ll provide the glasses and ice for you. There is free Wi-Fi available in our lounge too.

Visiting the Highlands of Scotland on the West Coast can be a time of reflection. It’s hard not to stop for a moment and contemplate. Our garden has outside seating for you to sit and do just that. Look out over the loch and listen to the water of Loch Broom lap against the pebbled shoreline below. There’s always plenty to see from the garden. Watch the Stornoway Ferry arrive and depart causing the sailing boats to bob up and down in its wake or admire the sun setting over the Fannich Hills. If you’re lucky, you can see seals swim and otters paddle.

An ideal way to start your day is our home-cooked Highland breakfast, which we offer between 08.15 and 09.30. If you want something a little lighter, there is a continental selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and cold meats.
