Coille Challtainn (which is Gaelic for Hazel Wood) is a working croft which has been run by generations of the Macdonald family.
You will undoubtedly see cattle and sheep on your visit and, depending on the time of year, lambs and or calves too. You are welcome to watch them and photograph them but please do not enter any fields or barns.
The dogs will give you a friendly welcome too.
Coille Challtainn offers one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and one single.
All rooms are en-suite and have televisions, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is served in the spacious dining room which enjoys panoramic sea and mountain views.
There is a varied breakfast menu that includes porridge and a traditional Scottish breakfast as well as a tasty fish option.

Coille Challtainn also serves as the local Post Office.
