Visit the home of Rudyard Kipling, Batemans at Burwash (NT) or climb the towers of one of the most evocative castles in England, the moated Bodiam, with its stunning views across the Rother Valley. Michelham Priory and Gardens, Sheffield Park Gardens and the Bluebell Railway make for good days out. Historic Battle and Abbey is 12½ miles, the fishing town of Hastings is 16 miles and Eastbourne is 18 miles.
Guests can enjoy coarse fishing on the farm, which is available by arrangement with the owners.
